The workaround at this point for me is to simply rename/remove the file
and Xorg starts normally. I dont know what this file does, cant seem to
find much info about it on google.

The one thing I have noticed is that when I resume from standby, the
display level is still at 100%.
Also, I am using AC power when entering standby and still on ac power
when resuming from standby
