To reproduce it:
1. Boot with a live CD
2. Click "Ubuntu One..." in the ubuntu menu
3. When the system asks you for a new password keyring, choose Cancel
4. Crash

I'm using the stock lucid amd64 CD with the stock kernel and no boot
option specified. I just put the CD in and wait for the desktop to
appear.
I attached a text file containing the output of the lspci -vvnn and
xrandr --verbose commands.
If you need anything else, just ask !

In a stock 10.04 install, I have this:
1 [Xmod ]: USB-Audio - Creative Xmod
Creative Technology Ltd Creative Xmod at
usb-:00:0b.0-6, full speed
And it works out of the box.
