When I connect headphones, there is no sound in them. And the sound from
the builtin lodspeakers are disabled.
The "Playback devices" shows two devices: "HDMI audio" and "Built-in
Audio". The volume control on HDM audio has no effect, and the volume
control of the "built-in a
Yes, the sound in the headphones has been working (in 12.04), but no
longer. I have done updates in between, but I can't say what was
changed.
I downloaded linux 3.5.0 and did "sudo dpkg -i *.deb".
There are error messages, repeated:
ERROR (dkms apport): kernel package linux-headers-3.5.0-030500r
Testing with 3.0.0.16-generic-pae works fine!
3.2.0-25-generic-pae does not work.
3.5.0-030500rc4-generic does not work (with respect to sound in headphones). It
has the same problem as 3.2.0-25.
