When the Live CD is booted and the installation gets as far as the
"Installation type" dialog, there is no option to resize the existing
partition or install along side it. Instead there are only three
options : "Upgrade...", "Erase...", and "Something else" It's not a

If the Live CD is not run first and one goes to the installer directly,
it freezes at the "Installation Complete" dialog after the button
"Restart Now" is pressed.

I see the bug, too. It completely prevents a successful installation.
Depending on the options it may also destroy any existing functioning
systems, thus leaving the machine completely unusable. If it crashed
before partitioning, it would be less severe.

Two different models of keyboard have a mute button and pressing it
mutes the sound as expected. However, when the mute button is pressed a
second time, the sound is not restored. Nor will pressing the volume up
