I can confirm the fix from Adan Koch. I went into the Fonts panel, changed the anti-aliasing settings, Apply, change them back, Apply. Now Slack links are opening almost immediately like in every other application. I did not have to restart Slack. Thanks Adan! -- You received this bug notific

I can confirm this as well. For me it's only happening in Slack; a link will eventually open in the browser, after well over a minute rather than the 2 seconds previously. So far that's the only application I've found where it happens. Slack was installed via snap back on 18.10. -- You receive
