in Ubuntu 9.10, let me know if I should test Xorg autodetecting the

In some 3D apps I experience screen flickering, which makes those apps
completely unusable. I noticed it in following apps: Google Earth,
Blender, Pymol and also some 3D games like for example Hive Rise.

I tried mplayer and it seems to play correctly even the mp3 files, which
are buggy in Rhytmbox. I also tried to test playing the problematic mp3
files in Totem and there wasn't also any problem. Btw in Sound
Preferences it shows me that mplayer is using ALSA plugin does this mean

Yes the problem is the same also when I installed gnome-mplayer. The
workaround (deleting ".pulse" folder) still has the same effect even for
mplayer, so it definitely appears to be a problem of pulseaudio.
