I have a Shuttle with Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, and with jaunty the CPU the speed
is alwyas the lowest speed.
I tried using the cpufreq-selector and the CPU Frenquency Scalling Applet in
gnome to changethe speed and the governor, and I was not able to make the CPU

The scaling_max_freq and the scaling_min_freq always have the same
value, I tried using different governator, I got same results. The
scaling_max_freq is always 100 instead of 200.

I noticed that when I changed the the polling_frequency to 1,
the CPU speed changed from 1700 to 1200 when the temp reached 92C.
This for some reason fixes the problem. The CPU still runs very hot from
from 80C at (1200Mhz) to 92C at (1700Mhz), is this how is supposed to
work ?

- After the first crash I did:
dpkg --configure -a
apt-get -f install
and started the adept_manager again
The upgrade tool crashed after a while, I think both crashes are related with
update or the ssh packages.

I get this on the console

and the mange repositories does not appear.

I follow these instructions:
* mkdir edgy
* sudo debootstrap edgy edgy
* mount -t none -o bind /tmp edgy/tmp
* mount -t none -o bind /dev edgy/dev
* mount -t none -o bind /proc edgy/proc
* xhost +
* sudo chroot edgy
* export LANG=C
* apt-get install kubuntu-desk
I see the same on my log, in feisty wiht latest updates.
