emdebian-tools and I unfortunately have to rely on debian instead of my

I can confirm this issue with Ubuntu Hardy Heron Final Fresh install
with / and /home as reiserfs, the usplash disappears until login after
reiserfs check , also reiserfs seems a hell of allot faster than ext3,

ok I have this issue as well, here is some lsof usage of the user "kim" on my
system after logging her off, keep in mind all processes should be killed after
logoff, hopefully this will shed some light...

i can re-create this issue by having myself logged in and have any user
log in then log off, their processes arent killed and nautilus is at

I just installed Ubuntu Hardy Alpha 4, the driver barely works, I can only get
19kbps max throughput and the driver causes 40% cpu usage, after dealing with
that, I had to modprobe -r rt73usb and blacklist the ralink drivers, I headed

dmesg I am running the serialmonkey driver now, do you want me to switch
back over? Also when I try to use iwpriv with the rt73usb driver

Piotr, thanks for bringing that poll to attention, it sheds some light
on things, here is another note... The serialmonkey drivers have always
worked with these cards, not flawlessly in the past as they are now but
the drivers in every last ubuntu release none of the cards worked out of
the box wh

I see that this bug's importance is set to medium, when there is plenty
of duplicates of this bug and thousands of people effected which should
increase its importance. I think a High importance or even critical
importance would be more appropriate since this bug has plagued
launchpad through ever
I can reproduce this bug as well, when the white screen shows up
pressing alt-s clears it but it is indeed a problem that needs to be
fixed, I have gutsy with a nvidia fx 5500, latest restricted drivers,
even compiled my own drivers with envy and I still can reproduce the
same issue

yes this could be marked as a concern if your computer acts as a
firewall/router, and can lead to serious dataloss from unsaved work and
jobs that are active can be killed by any user upon shutdown

the rt73usb driver is still not working for static connections, although it
works for dhcp, It seems there is a problem with routing to hosts even when
configured properly

I am using a wep connection because wpa does not work and it causes a lockup
with gutsy, so if your using wpa your out of luck for now, wep works great
with latest serialmonkey cvs
