What's the hardware and kernel version on the machines you're getting
this bug on. To find out what kernel you're running open a terminal ( by
going to Applications > Accessories > Terminal) and type in "uname -r"

Hello, I have the have problem. I run Ubuntu Hardy on a Dell Insparom
530 with a Asua WL138-gv2 using the bcm43xx driver. I am using a Dell
USB keyboard. I have installed virtualbox and added the /proc/bus/usb
line to fstab. I also have installed vmware server 2.0 rc1. My keybard
just freezes witho
cannot reproduce and due to above comments, marking fixed and closed.

Most of my issues with graphics-intensive applications appear to have
been resolved by upgrading to kernel 3.18.4 (with inel_powerclamp
blacklisted and xorg-edgers), at least with the performance . OTOH. I'm
experiencing some keyboard input lag in Firefox with this configuration
at random intervals
The input lag seems to have resolved itself somewhat. Weird.

I'd like to report that blacklisting intel_powerclamp and intel_rapl on
my HP Probook 4530s appears to have mostly solved my "random I/O
freezes" (mouse, keyboard, display, or audio cutting out for a few
seconds at random), which also seem related to bug #1386721 .

Re: #53, I'm running xmonad (with unity-settings-daemon in the
background) so I don't think composting is an issue. Also, these
performance issues began with the upgrade (and seem to apply to any non-
trivial fullscreen OpenGL application), so I assume this is the bug.
