The difference, as I see it, is that when you press mute at any given
volume level and then un-mute it, it should go back to the level it was

If you install the latest gdm theme (ubuntu-gdm-theme in bzr) you'll
notice that although there is a gtk-2.0 dir with a valid gtkrc it is not
respected correctly (the select session pop-up from the options menu
does not seem to respect any theme colors). A hint here, the new gtkrc

I think that the reason this has not been fixed is a combination of:
a) difficulties determining the hardware/size/resolution
and
b) difficulty finding someone with the necessary technical understanding

Upgrading to Intrepid is not an option. The LED worked in -19, just not

Right, this bug has to do with the packaging of the theme(s)...believe
me, I know because I made the mistake. I have a fix ready but had some
weird lock problems with bzr yesterday, fix coming soon.

One thing that is important to keep in mind is that the Human set
purposely does not include icons for applications (well, it does have a
couple).
That said, I think this is a great idea and would love to help you get
your work into the theme.
