I should really say that suspend-to-idle never holds forever. With the
SP3 disconnected from every plug including docking station, power, type
cover, and micro-SD and with both BT and WIFI turned off, it lasts for
random periods and then comes back alive.

I am using that update; it came March 31 and disconnected me from grub.
I figured out how to use boot-repair and got back to Linux.

supports both IPv4 and IPv6, but CUPS is only able to connect to it when
it chooses the IPv4 address, which appears to be about 50% of the time.

The kernel seems to lock up when accessing a kerberos mounted nfs share
with a user holding a kerberos ticket. This is in a virtualbox vm(run by
vagrant), but it also occurs in a VMware vm from a standard ubuntu 14.04

I got one video to render in AVI one time. However, I haven't been able
to repeat the feat. The resolution was very low, so I couldn't use it
and I'm not sure of the exact settings I used, else I might be able to
do it again. Other than that, my experience has been the same as others.

their codec install instructions the rendering on OpenShot went fine.
The render in Pitivi was more willing to begin after I installed the
library that OpenShot wanted, but still wouldn't complete. In the end, I

Top menu bar and side task bar still do not show up. Stuck in 2D at the
present time. Updates are up to date.

On Precise 64 bit, updated today but on kernel 3.2.0-14-generic
I can see this bug when using a wifi dongle (Netgear WG111v3, default
drivers) on my desktop PC.

A follow-up. My Android Lollipop phone can connect and knows that the
Designer Mouse is a mouse (not an unknown). Unfortunately it too loses

I made Akdor's pm-functions patch using 3.19RC3. Suspend did not change
at all; it still bounced right back. Note that this kernel is unaware of
the battery (I've read that 3.16 kernels don't have that problem) so
maybe there is some interaction there.

I got that wrong yesterday, I think. IWhen the freeze patch is
installed, it seems to do something akin to suspending, but I haven't
figured out how to get it back (not power button or mouse movement).

I have had the same problem since upgrading to 14.04 with my Toshiba
Satellite A210 with RTL8187B wireless.

This bug is also present in Debian Jessie (SID).
I installed Debian Jessie (SID) on the same Powermac G4 MDD and
experienced the same problem. The solution is the same; use a boot
parameter to get the graghical interface. However, the boot parameter
isn't remembered with Jessie, either.
I'm sure
how is the importance of this not critical? This is an extremely
important bug!
