If you use a keyboard only on ubuntu desktop (like my ubuntu connected
to the tv in the loungeroom) then the "install multimedia codecs" dialog
in totem is unusable.
There is a keyboard shortcut for help and cancel, but no way to select
any of the

file that needed new codecs, and a dialog popped up asking me to choose
which codecs to install (and confirm for the restricted ones)

Ok, I can remove the .hal-mtab, but then what? unplugging and
replugging my disks isn't mounting them at all anymore.
/etc/init.d/hald restart doesn't seem to help either. :(

I guess my biggest gripe is that apt-get dist-upgrade gave me a non-
working flash install. (have since found plenty of other sites that
crashed)

release notes anywhere.

This is the same "workaround" that fixes flashplugin-nonfree in firefox,
and also fixes the doublesize xmms bug.
Can this sort of thing be bumped up a bit in priority? This is a full
on regression from dapper.

The point is it's not getting launched at all, no matter what is in
there. I have my own command there, which was working just fine in
dapper. Putting the gvm-gthumb command back in won't change anything,
it's not running that command at all. (running gvm-gthumb from the
command line does what y
I rolled back to Ubuntu 6.06 LTS, so no.
6.10 broke this and my webcam, and didn't provide anything new, so I
just rolled back. (On a new machine, the laptop that used to run 6.10
has reverted to something different again, but that's a different story)

I chose expert mode, and OEM mode.
At first boot, I could log in as oem: and all was
good. I could customize things, and do whatever I needed to.

I suspect it's more to do with the flash card not being recognised as a
photo device.
It never used to complain about unsafe device removal when I unplugged
the card reader, or the card from the card reader, but it does now. I
suspect it's treating it as a removable harddri

Suffered from this on a clean install of karmic. (with gqview) legacy
fullscreen was _not_ ticked, as travis indicated in #22, and ticking it

It's not _only_ theora, but there's precious few other formats that
work. About the only other one I've found is avi mux,
ff_msmpeg4v2/twolame. For just about everything else, the debug log of
pitivi shows...
