seems to be in race condition at system startup (boinc starts before some

I haven't experience this problem recently. So it might be fixed.
However they say the fixed version is 4.6.1 and bug was reported of
4.10.2 (which is still the recent). So at least it wasn't fixed with
that release! Or the bug depends on certain configuration or other
component than xfdesktop.

OK, I tried to commit my changes, but I assume it didn't succeed.
So I attached patch for my changes.
And now with my patch, everything works as expected. At least on my
system.

anything. At least I can't remember. Maybe there was reboot between time
it worked and when it stop working.
Now when I run this command (not sure this is good test):

printidle prints correct IDLE time when tested in terminal
and so BOINC should work. But it doesn't, what is the difference?

Yes, sleep commands are ignored. And in fact init scripts are read in
strict order and thus probably not executed parallel. I made boinc's init
script to start last, but it starts apparently still too soon.

This will fix the problem until your computer is restarted again:
sudo /etc/init.d/boinc-client stop
sudo /etc/init.d/boinc-client start
So, it's fix if you are willing to do it every time you turn your computer
on. This is because it will resolve the race condition that happens in
start up.

rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in gst_encoding_target_g
This bug seem to occur very rarely and so couple day test doesn't prove it
fixed or unlikely even to be not fixed.
So, I'm unsure to install unstable kernel to computer I need on daily basis...
Do I have risk of data loss with that kernel?
If I would know how to reproduce the bug, I could do quic

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 to virtualbox, and I managed to get something out from
gdb.
Notice, this bug does NOT apply to new Ubuntu default theme! So, I changed it
to clearlooks.
I'm not sure I done all correctly.
But here are what I got from gdb.

Hi,
Here are the steps to reproduce:
1. open koffice writer with a new blank document
2. type some thing
3. click save
4. on the save window, put a file name and choose word file
5. click save
6 see error.
