I've unlocked my version and updated to the latest available
(1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1). It seems to be working fine now. The packages that
are tied to "libgnome-window-settings1" are:

gnome-control-center

think there was an update for compiz together with new kernel 2.6.32-22.
My compiz goes up to 80% cpu after moving any window, everything is
sluggish. This does not happen when I turn off visual effects. I have an

I have just done:
aptitude install libgnome-window-settings1=1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4
and compiz is back to normal.
I suspect this package (its version 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1) caused my compiz to go
berserk after upgrade on 5th May.
