Yes. I attached my normal screen to my laptop. Disabled the laptop
screen and afterwards the freeze occurred. It did not happen immediately
but after a little while of using the screen. The same happens when I
did a reboot however the screen was already attached and my laptop
screen disabled.

I was moving around some windows when all of the sudden the system
froze. Pressing the shutdown button to open the shutdown dialog resulted
in the compiz crash. The system was usable again afterwards.
