Sorry for the lack of answer. Here is the missing info (the lspci
-vvnn). I tried the ppa drivers but the problem is still there.

I have a msi wind u100. It was working fine with Ubuntu 9.04 but now I have the
same problem with flickering.
I have the problem only with the last kernel.
