I tried the suspend/resume test too and al the tests failed
I use a lenovo 3000 N200 and use the 64 bit version of ubuntu 9.04
which I update daily

When i click on suspend or resume there happens nothing
And in ubuntu 8.10 it worked fine
I tried
sudo echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace
setfont /usr/share/consolefonts/Uni1-VGA8.psf.gz
sudo pm-suspend
and my computer suspend, no errors or something.
What is dmesg data?

I suspend using the fast user switch applet and the power icon.
after run sudo pm-susend for some reason it works after restarting my
computer

When I clicked on hibernate in the fast-user-switch , I saw a black screen with
some errors and the cursor but the system didn't go on hibernate.

now it works but it takes very long before the computer switches off and
when you start up again it takes about 2 minutes to start up while a
normal startup takes about 40 seconds

I know why I get the error I guess.
The error always present after going back from suspend to ram, and sometimes i
only see a blackscreen after going back from suspend to ram.
If i get the error again i will post the output here.
