I can confirm this bug. It simply displays "Loading..." the first time
you attempt to open a PDF.
When you open the PDF the second time, it opens fine.

Hi Douglas, it seems that it's a hardware detection problem, most like
that your display is incorrectly detected. Hardware detection has
greatly improved in Ubuntu 8.04, can you check whether this problem
persists in Ubuntu 8.04 and the Ubuntu 8.10 beta?
