After restoring xorg.conf to default (removing virtual resolution),
X-Server / GDM works again.
Now changing resolution of the external display works without problems, even

I can confirm this bug.
If I look at Julian's comment in bug #384987 it is suggested that both
aufs-modules and aufs-sources should be removed from Karmic and AUFS2
should be used instead. It does however not look like AUFS2 is available
in Karmic.
** Changed in: fsprotect (Ubuntu)
Status:
Confirm it only depends on 1.8-10 and -12 is available. A simple rebuild
is enough to make it depend on the correct version.
Attached is a debdiff to make it rebuild.

I have asked someone from the Ubuntu Sponsors group to sponsor the
upload to karmic. I have subscribed that group to the bug.

This is simply not the case. The default build of rbutil is dynamically
linked against qt. We do provide a statically linked binary on the
Rockbox page, but this needs extra care to get built. For emphasis: the
Here's a fresh Xorg.0.log from today. After a fresh install and a

After a fresh reinstall of Ubuntu Karmic,
the printer stopped working.
I ran hp-plugin, and then the printer starts printing, but the pages are
always blank.

Today I was going to test the poppler downgrade as suggested,
but first I updated to all the latest packages and then tried printing, it
worked flawlessly.
So it seems after a clean install, all I hav eto do is run hp-plugin to make
the printer work.
