I had the same problem but on the new Studio 15 ( 1550) using the 5100 wifi
card.
Updating through the ubuntu packages from linuxwireless.org did not help. (Did
not try loading the latest patches by compiling from source).
The problem was related to the n-mode, switching it off works as a work-a

clicking 'activate' a loading bar quickly flashes up and then vanishes

I am quite sure I have seen another bug on this issue here on launchpad.

The bug is no longer.
I experienced it in a pdf file generated by lilypond; it spanned two
pages. It's a bunch of notes for a song that I don't hold the
copyrights to. I can probably get permission to give you a copy (Poke
me if you want the pdf from me), but I don't see the point.

This still seems to be an issue in 8.10 using kdesudo 3.3.1-0ubuntu1.
Upper part of screenshot is when executing it from command line and
lower part is when running it from the menu in KDE.

I can confirm this bug. This bug was filed on 24th and it is now the
29th, so it have been an issue for several days now. Looks like they
have turned off dir listing.

Can you please try to install debug symbols and try again. This should
give a useful dump. Also does it happen on all text files? I just tried
from here with a txt file in a tar.gz archive and it worked. I believe
debug symbols are located in kdeutils-dbg package.

okular is only showing once in 'open with' dialog in Dolphin on
Intrepid.
