How to reproduce:
Take an app and write something with the osk.
Now put the app in the sidestage and try to type something with the osk.
The osk does not appear.
This happens more often, when the app was in the sidestage before and then
dragged out in the "main view".

I can also confirm this problem for an older Fujitsu Siemens notebook
(Intel Core Duo T2300, 1 GiB RAM, BIOS v. 1.20, Intel Mobile 945GM/GMS,
943/940GML945). Kernel 3.19.0-11 runs fine, 3.19.0-12 freezes during
boot with exactly the same symptoms as described above.
Removing 'quiet splash' did not
Just did another test. Selecting recovery mode for kernel 3.19.0-12 and
then resume seems to work and I could log in successfully, though
resolution is then limited to max. 1024x768 and graphics is extremely
slow (resolution should be max. 1280x800 for my nb).

I can trigger the bug 100% of the time by using the keypad to control
the mouse when browsing the web with Google Chrome. Editing /usr/lib

One thing could be that devicename editline changes to "usb:" when
selecting USB as sync method. That had saved me alot of time. It took a
while for me to realise how easy USB-syncing a Palm is today. No need
for visor module, no need for permissions on /dev files.. It just worked

However, slow fullscreen video playback is only an issue while running
compiz. When i change back to metacity, fullscreen runs very smoothly.

Just tried the workaround with disabling one CPU core during
resume/suspend. I can also confirm that this workaround is working. Have

Followup from my earlier comment: 2.6.27-10-generic continued being OK for me

2.6.27-11-generic has been OK too. Not tried Jaunty yet, but it sure looks

couple of days. I think it happened after upgrade to KDE 4.2 final. I

I can confirm this issue. It used to work with RC releases of KDE 4.2. I
am using a Lenovo T500 laptop. It contains a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo
P8600 CPU.

You say that you are using a laptop. Do you use a wireless interface? If
that is the case make sure you run ifconfig against the right interface
(could be wlan0).
