After suspend the network interfaces won't get automatically upped
again. This gets corrected by changing "ifup" and "ifdown" to
"/sbin/ifdown" and "/sbin/ifup" in the files /etc/acpi/suspend.d/NN-
down-interfaces.sh and /etc/acpi/resume.d/NN
Forget it. This wasn't the problem.

brilliant! changing /etc/login.defs works fine. as far as i'm concerned
this wishlist item is no longer needed. if only the new gdm greeter
would read this setting (or some other setting) as well (and not hide my
user from the login screen) everything would be great... thanks for your

very similar to bug #364386 except, my computer doesn't crash. I can get
it working again by minimizing the windows and pressing alt+tab. This
shouldn't be necessary though.

Oh, I forgot to write that I get the same thing on both my Acer Aspire
One and my stationary C2D computer. Both running 9.10. A third computer
running 9.04 is not having this problem. I suspect it has to do with the
drivers used in 9.10 (for instance ffmpeg or libfaac).

Since uprading to Karmic it's impossible to convert avi files to mpeg-4
files (the auto IPOD setting). All I get is a box with the error message
"Codec Error - Cannot select the MPEG-4 SP codec".

Just to clarify I was able to deploy 20.04 on a machine with the same
hardware configuration in the week before the 5th without problem. I did
not update MAAS or anything else in the meantime, so my assumption is
that MAAS must have synced the new image and the new image is not

More precisely, trim margins stops working if I set a background color, and
then disable the background color feature again. After setting the background

Tested with the VLC Mediaplayer and the SMPlayer in a libertine container on
the m10 with ota 11:
Video playback doesn't seem to use hardware acceleration, as fullscreen
playback doesn't work properly. A video only plays properly after changing its
size to something smaller
Ubuntu 16.04 newest nVidia drivers version 367.35. Same problem as
everyone in here. Unable to enter password after installing the nVidia
driver. Screen stays frozen with no input.
Well, what's worked for me as a workaround is to change:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash” in the /etc/defaul
Ubuntu 16.04 newest nVidia drivers version 367.35. Same problem as
everyone in here. Unable to enter password after installing the nVidia
driver. Screen stays frozen with no input.

I have the same problem. When the m10 is connected to a monitor via HDMI
the webbrowser starts to open and crashes immediately.

4.2.0-35-generic fixed this.

The bug still exists. Open any kind of app which plays music. Lock the screen.
Expected behavior:
The capacitive button should not do anything.
Actual behavior:
The capacitive button wakes the phone.
This is very annoying, as the capacitive button is very sensitive and
wakes
I think photo roll should be possible too, but only the photos you just
made in the "quick snapshot" mode. Otherwise you can't verify, that the
photo was done correct.

I get a similar error, when trying to start the browser.

For me the problem only appears when watching videos with the ubuntu
webbrowser. With firefox videos have no offset and the controls are
visible. Unity itself has no overscanning, because the indicatorpanel is
visible. I have two screenshots which compare the same video on the
ubuntu webbrowser and
I don't know if it is relevant, but I use whatsappweb with lifecycle
exception and both my mx4 and my m10 play the tick sound all the time,
as soon as I turn the screen off.
