start synaptic (or was it update manager?), tell it to reload its data,

I tried the couchdb-bin from the Novacut ppa. It seemed to work fine and
solved LP: #780972. After trying it and then going back to the current
Oneiric version I found that I soon couldn't access my database (lernid
preferences). I had to delete the database and recreate it to go on==not
a big deal
In 0.8.2 this should no longer produce a traceback, using a backup
config file instead. The implication is that window sizes and pane
placement will be forgotten, and there is a substantial wait for this
timeout to occur.
