I have two Ubuntu 11.04 machines. One with Unity and one with Gnome3.
Ekiga runs fine on the latter, but not on the one with Unity. There are
more differences than the desktop environments of course, so I cannot
directly make any parallels. It is different audio hardware, for
instance.

onceric apparently.
By adding a device id in hid-ntrig.c ( i dont know what row atm) so it

For some reason the problem has solved itself. Literally the reboot
after I sent in the bug it started working correctly without me doing
anything.

Copy a random file or folder.
When you go to a Local (i mean not a netwok mounted folder) and you get a
normal paste in option.
When you mount a folder with gvfs (I used a smb mount) and try tou use the
paste in, it is grey but you can still use it.

Ok so following the advice on gconf and dconf it seems like system wide
settings work for chrome, and that is about it. Firefox, spotify etc.
all need to be updated in their respective settings.
Also this problem means I am unable to run VPN as it depends on system
wide setting of proxy works. Sor
I have added "blacklist r8192se_pci" and "blacklist r8192e_pci" to
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf, but r8192e_pci is still loaded after reboot
('lsmod | grep8192' still shows r8292e_pci)
Now I have to manually do
sudo rmmod r8192e_pci
sudo modprobe r8192_pci
then I get Wifi working.
