I confirm the fix is effective. For large environments where hooks have failed,
here's a one-liner after running the fix to re-run all the failed hooks, which
should return the agents to normal (idle) state:

so i have tried with pm-suspend, suspend from gnome3 and suspend on
inactivity. All results in a laptop that i cant wake up with lid switch

usb headset causes "retire_playback_urb ... callba
This is a bug concerning all linux distributions not only ubuntu.
Probably a driver problem. But as asus hasn't released any details on
how the chip set works switching its hard to say whats going on.
I can confirm that this bug exists on all version of ubuntu from 12.04
and up (i have tested the

This bug has been haunting me for a couple of weeks now.
It happens only sometimes when I interact with tabs in Firefox or
Chrome/Chromium (all three tested, both stable and beta), about 3-5
times per day.
What did I do before the crash:
Interacting with tabs, creating new
It was caused because I had created a JABBER account with FB. Replaced it with
the new FB type account and now it is solved.
Guess FB does not support normal Jabber anymore...

x220 (was also affected on my x301, Ubuntu 12.04).
Can mention that I often switch network type manually, as I use builtin
3G modem on the run, network cable at work and wireless at home.

When updating to apt 0.9.7.5ubuntu5.3, no /etc/apt/apt.conf.d
/01autoremove-kernels was generated and apt-get autoremove would
uninstall all kernel versions but the latest from my system.
Running /etc/kernel/postinst.d/apt-auto-removal 3.5.0-24-generic
manually generated the file.

If I restart lightdm to load a new session, gnome-shell will use 100%
