There is the same bug on my computer.
This bug affects Jaunty and Koala.
This misbehaviour must be consideres as a 'high priority' bug, because I
fill wrong alphanumeric password to login.
Thank to fix it quickly.

I can't do a suspend-to-ram because of that.
Note : sometimes, suspend-to-disks seems also fails, in particulary
