Every time I try to resume from a suspended state, there's only a black
screen with no possibilities of interaction. The only solution I've
found is to make a "hard power off" and start again.
The problem has been existing on every version so far of 12.10. Both
clean install

I have not yet opened an upstream bug. However, I have installed the
fglrx package, and now the problem is resolved. Which leads me to think
that the problem might lie in the AMD open source driver.
