My problem is fixed. It went away after installing an ATA133 cable and a
kernel upgrade. I suspect kernel authors thought they could better assess
UDMA modes but the increased speeds failed in marginal circums

After a Feisty upgrade, the default font was Minya Nouvelle Bold which
"works". The problem was the selection of a default font that did not

I have audio when playing mp3s and Sound Preferences - Input - Input
Level shows activity but there is no output to the speakers from line
in. Looks like a mixer problem.
