Looking at the Xorg log it appears that the AUO display does not have
everything needed in it's EDID info. Either it's EDID info is incomplete
or it does not support the standard VESA modes needed (such as
[EMAIL PROTECTED]).

Looks like effective user needs to be "root". I see what you are saying I got
the same thing until I completely became "root".

You only saw the header of the rom binary. It's binary code so you can't read
it in a text editor. The header just happened to have ASCII text though. Not
sure what the maintainer will do with it but, they are asking for it for debug

Now that I've had some test time. I'm going to go ahead and mark the bug
invalid. After the firmware update it seems to have no problem with

The customer impact on this issue is it will be bring support issues for
many customers & users since touch to tap is expected functionality to
work out of the box. Since current Ubuntu as well as other OS vendors
have this functionality out of the box, many will see this as a hardware

This justification on this issue is it was an issue in Jaunty that got
fixed before release. When users install Ubuntu 9.10 on a Studio XPS
1340 they can not get graphics at all and xorg fails. This is because
this machine uses Nvidia Hybrid graphics, and the graphics core trying
to be used is not
The justification here is to ensure the 9.10 includes this feature.
The request is to allow for a button or some command line method of
removal of all extra lanuage packs. For Dell in this case a user is hit
with 800 or so updates after install, most related to lanuage packs.

kernel. What is need is the xorg intel driver to also add the proper PCI ids.

That is not the case. In the cases I show I am never changing out the
SIM card. It is the case though that on the initial power on of the card
it takes 1 minute for it to get fully initialized.

For ARM based Fresscale MX51 SoCs. There is a VPU (video processing
unit) that is exposed via the mxc driver. The device node by default
only gives root access to this device. Adding a file:

I am also seeing this issue on my Thinkpad T61 with Intel Wireless WiFi
Link 4965AGN REV=0x4 when I connect to my WRT600N with 802.11n on 5ghz
band. Will get a term hooked up and try to get a dump. The screen shots
posted are not showing the entire dump, and it is not making it to logs.

linux-backports-modules 2.6.27-6.1 appears to fix this issue. I've run
some large file transfer tests that easily caused the iwlagn module that
comes with the kernel now to crash. But now running those tests with
linux-backports-modules installed I no longer see the issue, and it
doesn't crash at a
Fix is now upstream. But will be a bit till network-manager update for
Interpid to include it.
For those looking. A temporary fix is to remove the setting the "APN".
Actually just remove everything except for the phone number that you
must dial. This works for branded cards as all the data is alre
problem is someone threw in spaces into the APN
setting line. Notice the wvdial line for this has no spaces!

I've retested the patch. It definitely is the fix as I am using my
Sierra 881 right now.
I think it is very very important that this make it into Intrepid, as

Confirmed fix is now in Intrepid. Just upgraded my laptop today to make
my own network manager with the fix. But it appears the fix is already
there and there is a new auto connect (nice touch).
As for ttyUSB2 it looks like you can issue commands to the card while ttyUSB0
is has the data connect
