Note: I said earlier that the work-around worked. It allowed me to
install the application but at reboot time I had problems with the
mounting of my encrypted /home partition. I had to uncomment the line
again.

I have the same problem under ubuntu 10.10
When unplugging the cable, and a fully charged battery, the indicator
shows a sign that indicates about 10% left.
Freshly installed, new laptop (one week old). The information was
correct the few first days.

1. the module has been renamed. So it's normal that the command wasn't
sufficient. Check the maverick release notes.

Here's the patch properly merged using git on top of the
Ubuntu-2.6.32-23.37 tag.
I tested the patch (after removing the i8042.quiet grub kernel boot
option) and my keyboard resumes properly. Tried 3 times. Never worked
before without the kernel option.
I will now update the i8042 maintainer on t
