the same time as it shows Sign In.
There are a few other usability issues. Let me know if you want separate

I don't think we know of a good way to fix this for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
The "duplicate" .desktop was provided for upgrade compatibility reasons
and will be dropped in Ubuntu 18.10. But we can't really drop it in
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS because we want it to be there for the upgrade to
finish there even for
Jani, could you use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T to open a new tab
(or Ctrl+Shift+N to open a new window) ?
New Tab is the first item in the File list so I'm not sure what more we
can do here. From my understanding, it's a lot more popular to offer
both New Tab and New Window than to only al
lsof is part of ubuntu-standard and so is installed by default.
I believe it's a design decision to generally not show command line
utilities in Ubuntu Software. Therefore, I'm closing this bug.

Oh, I see now that you typed "isof" instead of "lsof" but maybe you
meant "lsof"?

Jani, the GNOME Terminal developer chose to implement this as a build-
time option. If it is really a big deal to you, you could try filing a
bug to ask that he make it a more traditional option in Preferences
(using gsettings). It's hard to say whether he would be interested in
implementing that,
Martin, please open a new bug with specific details.
Generally speaking, people don't look at bugs that are marked Fix

Ok, he made the change for gnome-terminal 3.30.1 which has a reasonable
chance of being in Ubuntu 18.10 available in October. (Basically, you'll
need to change a gsettings value from the command line or by using
dconf-editor.)
I'm not very interested in trying to backport this change to Ubuntu
18.
