I spoke with a few of our controller firmware developers and it sounds
like the controllers are returning the proper status whenever a single
controller is reset. However, it appears as if Ubuntu may not have
retried IO on the alternate path.

I should be seeing 12 paths for each LUN on my Emulex fabric-attached
host and 4 paths for my Emulex direct-connect host. It looks like my
Qlogic host fabric-attached host is now encountering this path listing
issue too.

Paride, we have support for Ubuntu 18.04 but that was running with older
Qlogic and Emulex HBAs. I would assume if we have support for those
solutions, that multipath did not behave like how it is now.

InfiniBand Switch that is connected to an NVMe/IB EF600 storage array.
The server has an MCX354A-FCBT installed running with FW 2.42.5000. The
system is connected to a QM8700 and SB7800. Both switches are running
with MLNX OS 3
All four Ubuntu 20.04 hosts detect an I/O error almost immediately after
my E-Series storage controller is reset. This was triggered via SMcli,
but I imagine the same behavior can be reproduced by resetting the
