As per your comment, I don't see why the bug should be marked as invalid
for the homebank source package in Ubuntu. Given that from this package
both homebank and homebank-data binary packages are generated, it's the
right place to fix the problem.
Please let me know if you agree on this.
As a workaround you can use okular.
I've had the same kind of problem with different files and okular was
able to open the pdf file without any problem.
