Usb keyboard and mouse stop working during the install process

Not quite, My test file to a blank folder gets farther and is faster,
but eventually also times out.

Update:I tested using the live cd of 11.04 and the problem still exists,
BUT, I have discovered that I do not have the problem if I swap my
D-Link DWA-552 adapter for my Linksys WUSB100. At this point I am not
sure if it is something in Nautilus at fault or the wireless driver (I
suspect the driver
Dlink DWA-552 with AR922x chip set and ath9k module on Lucid 64 bit with
possible work around.
Coming here after bug#562674. I originally thought this was something
with Nautilus but I managed to narrow down that my problem is with this
card and driver and roughly fits the description of this bug.
I have just started having this same problem on 10.04. The problem began
