Dapper aside, this is still an issue with feisty as of 3.5.6-0ubuntu6,
I'm going to try to play around with it and see if I can narrow down the
problem better.

It's not always the same partition which is ignored. Sorry - not sure

You could just grab the plugin libs src and toss it in the current src

I noticed starting gkrellm today that it took an oddly long time to
startup so I straced it, it was hanging on batt and ac acpi for a long
time.
Then I started hal with --verbose=yes --use-syslog and restarted dbus,
hal also hung for a long time on those same acpi parts.

The screensaver also doesn't activate/work correctly if dpms is set to a
lesser activation time than the screensaver is. I found this patch, but
for some reason couldn't find a bug on it.

kdesktop screensavers don't
Well, apparently this has to do with if dpms is disabled under
monitor&display settings in kde, if this is disabled then the
screensavers dont' work right, even if DPMS is turned on/off by another

Not really sure if this is xine or xine-ffmpeg, but since it seems to
have to do with DPMS I think probably the core lib.

I should probably add how I can reproduce this bug here :)
Set kde's monitor and display power saving to 2 mins.
Set the screensaver to any screensaver you wish, set to 1 min blank, 1

This bug is invalid for xine-lib, as many times as I had not crashed

ever loading a xine based application. It appears to be just in
