Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp
Chap response to server is sent in wrong format. There are four
backslashes in $SERVER\\$USERNAME field as there should only be two.
See attached pppd.log
There is no problem if I initiate the connection manually using pon
command.

Public bug reported:
Left clicking on clock applet crashes gnome-panels. Main menu and
shutdown applets disappear. Alt+ F2 key doesn't work. Killing the screen
(Ctrl + Alt + backspace) and logging in again doesn't help. Only booting
the whole system brings the panel functionality back.
Release: U
I created a new user account and the problem cannot be reproduced that
account. Logged out from the test account and logged in with my own
account and the clock/date seems to be working. I'll check what happens
after reboot.

I rebooted and the problem was reproduced. All the panels freeze and the
only way I'm able to fix this is to kill the gnome-panel process. After
that the clock applet works as expected.

at the moment. So you can disregard my previous comment as it doesn't

I had wrong server address on the second time I tried to use this
workaround. I can confirm that the workaround is (still) working.
