I have the same messages on syslog, the difference is that in my case
there is no crash, but graphical corruptions instead.

The assert failure in cairo-surface.c:1287:
cairo_surface_set_device_offset has been reported in Gwibber (see
duplicate bugs #811534, #830144, #843868, #859095, #863406).
The same problem has been found in multiple applications so I thought it
could be a bug in libcairo, but Cairo's upstream says
