This should be fixed in recent 5.x versions (certainly 5.1.0, probably
5.0.8) but using the "Yahoo Finance" source, not just "Yahoo". I'm not

This bug is ancient. Is it still a problem for anyone? When creating a
new KMyMoney data file, part of the process is adding one or more
templates. That is what creates categories. If you do not import any
templates, you will start with no categories, so it's not really a bug.

I don't get any crash, but I do have lots of those warning messages. I

Is there any chance this is because that CPU lacks sse2? More and more
things are being compiled with the assumption that it is available, so
any such code will crash on an older processor without it.

The OFX plugin is distributed as part of the main kmymoney source, and
should be enabled by default. If it is not available, then it was
explicitly disabled in the build, although I can't think of any reason
this would have been done.
