The problem mostly solved with newer Dapper kernels/modules. Current
status is:
- Hibernation works correctly
- /usr/sbin/pmi reports:
$ pmi capabilities

- Suspend mostly works (through pmi action suspend), except that after
wake-up, screen back-light is off making it almost unreadable
Bug #46064 in acpi-support describes the same problem. A possible
workaround is provided, but I have not tested yet. So this bug can be
closed on my side.

Stefan can you try again in the latest hardy alpha? I've tried it a few
times and it appears that it the proper entry is made in /etc/fstab
(Note: without ldap or nfs.)

reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it so we can work
This is fixed in the icon theme, since this isn't really a Nautilus bug
