Ok, but then the question is. How/why did this happen? Did ntpdate not
get called when I first installed package ntp? (Years ago), and my clock
has been always out of sync and drifting I did just notice? (possible)
or did the clock get out of sync when I turned off the machine for a
couple of weeks
Ok, after further research, it seems that ntp really is not working on my
system:
ntpdate returns "no server suitable for synchronization found" every time
regardless of what server I point it too, and ntpq -p does not have star next
to any server and reach, delay, offset, and jitter all show 0.
Never mind... Our firewall seems to block the ntp port. Synchronizing
with an internal server makes both ntp and ntddate work. Sorry for the
confusion.

@Anders: this is most probably a different issue so you should report a
separate bug. If your USB system does not hang then it is definitively a
different bug.
@Robin, Sebastian: I would open a different bug for wifi/bt led issues.
I have never seen this problem in my U100-026E. There is a new bio

I just reopened the bug. It is affecting me too. I am running 64 bit
Karmic Koala up to date. This computer is always on. It has continuous
access to the internet and is not a virtual machine.

Public bug reported:
Just upgraded from 8.10, installed lm-sensors to get fancontrol, it's
not working.
First I run sensors-detect:
# sensors-detect revision 5249 (2008-05-11 22:56:25 +0200)
This program will help you determine which kernel modules you need
to load to use lm_sensors most effect

Actually I don't have KDE installed now. Maybe it was some configuration
problem, so I think this can be closed

Hello,
I've prepared a PPA for testing the proposed patch on B/Queens

[Test Plan]
I was able to install 5.12.4 using @tuxinvader ppa on 20.04 with current
libc6 2.31. Great work @tuxinvader!
I have used:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tuxinvader/lts-mainline
sudo apt install linux-image-unsigned-5.12.4-051204-generic
linux-modules-5.12.4-051204-generic linux-headers-5.12.4-05120
@corey anything in specific you need at my end to get this SRU reviewed?

I have Ubuntu MATE 20.10 running on my Raspberry Pi 4 and I can't
upgrade because of this bug as well.
I went to the file "DistUpgradeQuirks.py" (as mentioned above) and I
can't see any "apple" string there to change and force the upgrade. I'm
just stuck.
