After upgrading to 8.10 I have an "unexpected inconsistency" mounting my second
drive /dev/sdb3
superblock has an invalid ext3journal (inode 8).
fsck is unable to recover the error.
Using a prior kernel 2.6.24-21 results in a successfull automatic file-check,
after manuall
With automatic updates enabled the error doesn't exits anymore.
It seems the offical release is without this bug.

After deleting I had to restore my mail settings and after that I had a clean
desktop again.

I have the same problem but even a new generated user (avoiding damaged
files somewhere in the user subdirs) cannot start the akonadi database.
The creation obviously is successful.
I have also started the appamor in complain mode, allthough I didn't
knew what I was doing.

kmail it seems to be a problem with mysql, allthough I haven found out
yet what exactly ist passed to mysqltest. Changing single parameters
could then reduce the possible causes.

rdesktop sometimes hangs fullscreen and can only be killed via ssh from
another pc.
With this bug however I cannot restart sddm and after killing rdesktop

The problem could be solved.
The steps described in various tutorials (remove all existing nvidia-
packages, install headers etc.) didn't help even reinstalling.
I realized that copying my system to a new disk (ssd :-) ) was
uncomplete. After fixing that everything worked again.

My last running kernel is 3.16.0-38-generic
Starting a newer kernel will lead to a complete lock-up.
I have installed the latest bios twice.
I have split the partition and did a second install. With this partition I can
boot newer kernels.
I haven't figured out the difference between these two ins

While testing I got a kernel panic unloading ic2_hid manually once. Maybe its
a problem with the kernel.

I have the problem with quantal too Toshiba L300D.
On suggestion I have from the internet was to run a
echo low > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile
on every start.
For me this does the trick !
I tried to compare powertop before and after but couldn't find a
decrease in power-consumpti
Funny, because I did a clean install too. I cannot give you more info then
what I gave you before, as far as I know.
Presently, apparmor is disabled on mysql. Anything more I can do for you?

I had the experimental driver from NVIDIA for testing (tried steam)
Obviously after a kernel update the open-source drivers were activ again.
I have installed the latest experimental driver again and resume works
again

I know I'm ahead with the kernel, but this kernel supports ssd caching
and I don't want to wait 6 month.
