This is actually a configuration issue.
Due to your conkyrc file having "desktop" set as own_window_type while
having an actual desktop set-up already, conky will go behind the
desktop/wallpaper.
Switch from "desktop" to "window" to fix the problem and add
own_window_hints to make sure it goes in

I just updated my system minutes ago and update manager forces me to
restart without any option to ignore.
In Ubuntu 12.04, the indication to restart was only placed in the system
menu which doesn't disturb the user.

What's the hurry to restart so soon anyway? Don't mimic Windows, Adobe,
Java and force the user to reboot with time wasting popups, you know the
user will ignore it anyway.

I think this bug can be closed, I'm pretty sure it is related to the
bindv6only /proc parameter which was set by default at that time.

Time causes the control center to relaunch in a loop and taking the
focus each relaunch.
Killing the control center stops the loop but there's no way for me to

After installing kernel package linux-image-
unsigned-5.14.2-051402-lowlatency from
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ starting libvirtd, and
thus qemu, results in 2 stack traces. Then libvirtd stops.
Rolling back to 5.11.0-34-lowlatency fixes the problem.
