My environment is set to UTF-8, and the issue persists. It shouldn't be
considered an environment charset issue. If on the tcl app I do change
the charset to UTF-8 I see no changes, but if set to ISO-8859-1 I get
even more weird characters:

Can't reproduce this on Hardy. Using rhythmbox 0.11.4.
The Automatic Playlist works as expected, and scrollbar appears when

I'm getting the same SIGSEGV in g_str_hash(), playing songs from my
iPod, and found it happens with the same file over and over. The file
doesn't seem to be damaged, as long as it plays ok from the device and
is played ok if from Exaile.
It keeps crashing even if I remove the .gnome2/rhytmbox fold

I'm confirming this. gnome-panel suddenly froze, and if I run it on a
terminal it launches gnome-panel, then starts/stops for about 5 times,
then freezes again nor dissapears (not the same behavior all the time).
When called from console I get:

I launch gnome-panel and, while the 'flicking', I managed to delete the
clock applet from the upper panel, when done, the panel stopped flicking
and now it seems to work ok.

It may be a hw detection issue. I had the same problem when using Hardy
Alpha 5, but not anymore with the recent updates of totem-gstreamer.

Weird, I have the same packages reported early, but the issue isn't
present anymore. I deactivated the SCIM support on my environment, that
should be the only change on configuration made on
Think I got it. Since it was breaking while playing the same files, and
I think g_str_hash() refers to string management, manually edited the
file's tag. After that, rhythmbox does not crash again, at least not
with those tag edited files, and at least not for the same g_str_hash()
issue.
