Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
After creating an account and connecting to the link given in the email,
I could not add my computer as described. As a consequence, I cannot
connect to the account for synchronizing data.

sorry for being silent for such a long time, there were so many other
things to do (besides computer). In the meanwhile I looked for other
user's experience and tried out to delete the Ubuntu One account and all
files locally. These attempts got stuck too, but I decided that I do not
