It is still an issue. (Works with 7.04 and a fresh installed gutsy

It is a crash in the way that it uses 100% CPU and reacts on nothing, an
infinite loop. So I can't give a backtrace.
There are no plugins installed, its just a fresh kubuntu 7.10 alpha5

It never worked as far I know. I found the bug as I wanted to show my
mother how to make postscripts of spiegel online - it is a german on-
and offline newsletter. My mother has kubuntu 7.04, I just tested it in
kubuntu 7.10 - all the time the same bug. I also asked several persons
in IRC with germ
the cdrom bug was something which could be solved by reinstalling
kubuntu. somehow a early alpha bug which couldnt be solved by updates.
... and somehow bad that this is missing ... because what should a user
thing who clicks on this to solve his problems and then happens -
nothing?

When I boot the PC, I can go into bios with my USB keyboard (Logitech
UltraX Media Keyboard).
If I go forward to the Kubuntu CD menue from the 7.04 Alpha2, the
keyboard stops working.
The System I use there:
- Athlog XP 1600+
- Mainboard: K7S5A
- 512 MB DDR RAM
- Keyboard: U
In Edgy the keyboard dows not work.
If I activate USB keyboard functionallity for DOS in bios the CD Menue
works in both cases - 6.10 and 7.04.
So this was a bios setting broblem?
