put in /boot/grub/menu.lst as a kernel option, vga=791. This worked in

displays every character, with ugly fonts (even the letters of firefox
itself and not the websites' appear ugly). I manually downloaded firefox

I have bought a Dell Latitude D800 and when it had Windows, the
Bluetooth was working. When I removed Windows and installed Ubuntu 7.04

It affects me too.
I suggest to set up a short waiting time after the release of the key.
If in... let's say 200ms, no other key is pressed, then the HUD can show up. If
not, he HUD does not show up.

I know superficially my bug report looks a lot like 144030, however
there are a couple of differences:
I never get kernel panic/oops/etc., just a hang.
I tried the fixes in that bug report (renaming acpi folder, etc.), none work.
It always hangs at exactly the same spot, right after it prints out
