By setting the fuzz parameters large in the input driver (hid-ntrig),
the mtdev module will pick those up and perform the filtering. Thus, and
upstream patch is needed. Adding rafi to this bug.

Ikbel, the placement of the touches is not the problem here - it depends
on the size of the window, of course. The problem is that touches are
not registered properly. Since you have the HP TX2, it would be
immensely helpful to see a similar view of your hardware, both with the
stock ntrig driver a
Duncan, if (after updates) you are still experiencing the funky
behaviors, I can recommend running evtest-capture (installed in ubuntu),
and posting the resulting xml file here.

Thank you for the information, we will apply a fix for this shortly.
I think the kind of "soft snapping" you refer to is a great idea, but
since it depends on window details, I think it is better placed higher
up the stack.

The sweeping sounds odd. Everything is up-to-date maverick? Perhaps you
would like to provide a new set of data the same way as in the first
post. Alternatively, providing output from evemu-describe and evemu-
record would be helpful.

So it seems the remaining problems are actually not bugs in the kernel
driver, but in the onboard keyboard and desktop touch support in
general. Is it alright to consider those as different bugs, and this one
solved?

This could also be a problem higher up in the tool chain. To know for
sure, testing the mtview program could be good. If any multi-finger
action, tapping or dragging, does not work there, then it is still a
kernel driver issue. A binary is attached. Run as "mtview
/dev/input/eventX".

One major grief with the ntrig devices is the poor filtering of ghost

The problem comes and goes, so testing at several occasions might be a
