This is a workaround, *not* a solution, for Ubuntu. Goto source code
gajim/data/gui/application_menu.ui, add the keyboard shortcut (control-u) to
the Plugins menu action "app.plugins" (search for "app.plugins"):

To fix I did
sudo apt-get purge boinc
sudo apt-get autoremove
rm -r .BOINC

I rebooted.
then:
sudo apt-get install boinc-manager
Instead of launching boinc, I launched boincmgr. I think this made a difference.

Hi out there,
I did a standard upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 as recommended from the system's
installer. This went fine.
But, however, my virtual box with a Win XP SP2 installation is lost after that
upgrade.
When I try to start virtual box from the menu/system tools (guess tha
newcomer).
I tried
ls ~/.Virtualbox
on a console but it seems as if this command was nonsense as there was no such
file or folder :-o
(pebcac - problem exists between chair and computer)

Trying to access a Ubuntu 14.04 alpha2 based system via the rshd daemon fails.
So trying to run a command like
rsh ubuntu1404 ls

will not complete and hanges totaly.
I have tried this with rss-server and rsh-redone-server

I have exactly the same problem with a Dell E4310 and Ubuntu 10.10.
I am also able to work around the problem with kernel
2.6.36-020636rc8-generic. Furthermore I do not need the xrandr commands
