I installed nslcd, libnss-ldapd, migration-tools, slapd, ldapscripts.
Using the migration-scripts I copied the users to LDAP. getent shadow
(as root) shows encrypted passwords and everything works as it should.
Lightdm however, doesn't. I'm unable to logon using Xephyr (XDMCP)
This is getting progressively worse. Every two close of a window crashes
the window-manager. So much so I had to create an icon for starting
marco, since it isn't re-starting itself anymore. And every time it
dies, all windows get shifted some tens of pixels downwards. It feels
like sweatpants figh
I'm having the same error. I upgraded from 16.04 -> 16.10 -> 17.04 on
the same day and now my computer freezes during night. There's no reply
from the dhcpd running on the computer anymore, and the screen shows the

The Horde-installation includes the package php-horde-editor, which
provides a symlink to /usr/share/javascript/ckeditor/ckeditor_basic.js .
This ckeditor_basic.js is missing.
Users are unable to compose e-mail. The compose-window in Horde/IMP
Fiddled around and found out that the missing ckeditor_basic.js wasn't
causing a fatal error (The "Loading..." issue). Instead it looks like a
non-enabled spell-checker in Horde preferences was causing this.
I enabled spell-checking in horde, and now the composer loads.

I was unable to connect to libvirtd from my regular user account after
upgrading to Utopic Unicorn.
The error from 'virsh list' was something about that libvirtd couldn't
resolve my uid. "failed to find user record for uid" I think.
Since I have all non-system users on LDAP
Oops, I seem to be running /sbin/init as PID #1, this is a symlink to
upstart . I thought I was running systemd, since my /home on NFS didn't
get mounted on boot anymore, and this is a known issue with systemd.
After the upgrade from 14.4 LTS to 14.10 utopic I was about to start my
virtual machine
nscd probably, but this is not a hard requirement depending on how stuff
is configured.
slapd might have to be started, if the host is hosting it's own
directory

It seems like it's the combination of Ctrl-Shift and letter that doesn't
work anymore. It's missing the shift-key, and thus Ctrl-Shift-x or
Ctrl-X (capital X) gets mapped to Ctrl-x (lower case).

Apparmor doesn't seem to be the culprit for me. virt-manager show me the
dynamic allocation of an UUID when starting the guest and I have no
errors in syslog regarding apparmor.

No change by updating to 2.6.35-23-generic-pae. The WinXP-guest doesn't
boot. It just sits there with a black screen saying "Booting from Hard
Disk..." and chewing 50% CPU constantly.
My Ubuntu 9.10 guest did boot up though. I'm upgrading the guest now,
let's see if that breaks it or not.

Windows XP boots into safe mode, and safe mode with networking.
I tried installing the same kernel on my ubuntu-guest as in ubuntu
10.10, namely the linux-image-generic-pae. This didn't help either. I am
unable to boot these guests.

I tried updating the amdgpu firmwares from the linux-firmware package
from git.kernel.org. This didn't help. The display is still garbled
after it returns from power-save of the display (not the computer
suspending).
