I've found the cause of this problem. Tricask (the metadata storage used
by syncdaemon) isn't properly compacting the data files, and so the
number of files is growing without control.

Hello,
as far as we can see all store related services are IPv6 enabled, except
login.ubuntu.com which is not required for snap/snapd to work
Could you provide logs on what is actually not resolving to a IPv6
address?
